Step 1: Have the Right Tools for the Job

Getting the job done right is all about having the right tools at your disposal. Take a look below for the tools, tips, and tricks you need to get perfect measurements.

Use a steel tape measure, never cloth.
Print out the measuring guide you need. It'll be a good reference, plus you'll have a place to write down your measurements.
Measure each window individually. Even the smallest differences make all the difference.
Write down all of your measurements clearly. Your best bet is to go with pencil, just in case your first measurements need a little reworking.
Round your measurements to the nearest 1/8". You don't need to be perfect, but it never hurts to try.
